The proposed project involves constructing a new Entry Control Point (ECP) at the South Gate of Altus Air Force Base (AFB) in Oklahoma. The design includes a prefabricated gatehouse, an ID check area with a canopy, and an overwatch position for a single vehicle. It will also feature dedicated commercial parking spaces, a prefabricated waiting area for commercial vehicle inspections complete with restrooms, and a new asphalt roadway to replace the existing one. Additional elements include dedicated parking for the Visitor Control Center (VCC), traffic control systems, site development, utilities and connections, walkway lighting, storm drainage and management, environmental mitigation, landscaping, and signage.
The project will also incorporate various electrical and communications components, such as fire alarm and protection systems, electrical hookups for a standby generator, closed-circuit television (CCTV), a traffic detection system, and an Intrusion Detection System (IDS). Additionally, provisions for PVB and AVBs, as well as cybersecurity measures, will be included to ensure comprehensive security and operational efficiency.
